The standard work workweek in Puerto Rico is 40 hours, with eight-hour days.
Female employees receive at least eight weeks of paid maternity leave.
Vacation is accrued at a rate of one-half of a day during the first year, three-quarters of a day after the first year, one day after five years and one and one-quarter (1-1/4) days after 15 years.
Employees receive 12 days of paid sick leave per year.
Employees receive a Christmas bonus.
Notice is up to 60 days. Severance is three month's salary and an additional two weeks of salary for each year worked.
