The standard workweek is 39 hours.
Female employees are entitled to maternity leave of up to 26 weeks. Paternity leave is for two weeks.
Employees receive 20 days of leave per year.

Notice is between one and eight weeks. Employers are not required to pay severance to employees who are terminated for reasons other than redundancy but many employment contracts in Ireland do provide for severance payments.
